BASF SE has reached the next milestone for its latest fungicide active ingredient Revysol. The company has submitted the regulatory report for this strategic proprietary compound to registration authorities in US, Canada and Mexico.
Revysol is an innovative and highly effective fungicide active ingredient from the triazole chemical class and will strengthen BASF’s leading position in fungicides. The worldwide registration initiative will continue in key markets across Asia later this year.
The company also announced that Revysol will be manufactured at its production facility in Hannibal, Missouri.
The company said that Revysol will be available in customized formulations to provide farmers worldwide with high-performing fungicide solutions. Pending regulatory approval, first market introductions are expected for 2019/2020 use season.
Beyond benefits for row and speciality crop growers, Revysol fungicide will also provide a new option for the turf management and seed treatment markets. In addition to the potential to maximize crop quality and yield in a sustainable way, the proprietary fungicide will play an important role in integrated pest management (IPM) programs.
