MUNICH, GERMANY: Wacker Chemie AG has appointed Dr Tobias Brandis (45) as the president of the Wacker Polysilicon division, effective 1 January 2017. He was previously chief financial officer (CFO) of the group’s US subsidiary Wacker Chemical Corporation.
He succeeds Ewald Schindlbeck who, effective the same date, is retiring after 33 years at the company.
Brandis joined Wacker Chemie AG’s legal department in 2007. Brandis took charge of the corporate development department in 2010 and was appointed CFO of Wacker Chemical Corporation in Adrian, Michigan (USA), in 2014.
