LUDWIGSHAFEN, GERMANY: BASF has appointed Dr Thomas Kloster as the new head of Automotive OEM Coatings Solutions Europe business unit, effective 1 December 2016.
He succeeds Dr Martin Jung who oversees the integration of Chemetall after the successful acquisition of the business.
He joined BASF in 2001, after holding different positions in the fine chemicals and construction chemicals segment – in Shanghai, China and elsewhere – Kloster served as VP, strategy, for the BASF group in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
