W R Grace & Co (GRA) has signed to license its Unipol PP process technology and services to Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co Ltd, for a new methanol-to-olefin (MTO) facility in Ningxia, China.
The new reactor line is likely to begin operations in late 2018.
Based in Yinchaun, China, Ningxia Baofeng produces, processes, and markets coal and petrochemical products, which include methanol and olefin. This new polypropylene (PP) unit is designed to produce 300 kilotons per year of homopolymer, random copolymers, and impact copolymers.
