Global electronic chemicals market to grow at 6 pc till 2026 – Report

The global electronic chemicals market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.33 percent, in value terms, during 2017 – 2026, according to a report by TechSci Research.
Growth in consumer electronics and technology industry, increasing use of semiconductors in industries such as aviation, defense, etc., coupled with surging demand for computers, smartphones, tablets, etc, which require electronic chemicals for the manufacturing of chips and PCBs installed in these devices, is expected to boost demand for electronic chemicals, globally, during the forecast period.
Moreover, growth in the market over the coming years is anticipated to be driven by stringent government policies which are leading to the development of environment-friendly chemicals.
Electronic chemicals can be broadly segmented into four categories, namely, CMP slurry, wet deposition, gases and ancillary chemicals. Of these categories, CMP slurry is forecast to register the maximum growth during the forecast period, owing to its increasing demand for designing small-sized chips for multiple applications. Several companies across the globe have joined hands to design special CMP slurry, which can be used for production of small-sized high-performance chips.
