World Environment Day 2017: Lets protect nature

BENGALURU, INDIA: ‘Connecting People to Nature’ is the mantra, as we come to celebrate the World Environment Day (WED) – 5 June. The theme implores people to get outdoors, to appreciate its beauty and its importance, and to take forward the call to protect the earth that we share. WED, yet again becomes the most widely celebrated global, annual event, aimed towards positive environmental action, organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Celebrating WED with its eco-friendly formulants using microbes, is Proklean Technologies Private Limited. The Chennai-based probiotic chemicals company produces formulations, that contain a blend of biochemicals produced by the microbes, which repopulate environments with healthy microorganisms.
UV Green Energy, an eco-efficient energy solution provider with the aim of reducing carbon footprint has joined hands with sustainable teams, NGO’s, social organisations and educational institutions around Bengaluru to jointly protect mother nature.
Moreover, on the occasion Dr Harsh Vardha, Indian Union Environment Minister has urged people to protect and respect nature, adding small replacements in daily life to create a better environment.
Also, the state government of Kerala has launched a massive tree planting exercise – to plant one crore saplings across the state. The Bengaluru-based NGO, Art of Living, has set out on a mission in South-Bengaluru to collect and separate recyclable waste and transport it to its pyrolysis plant. The plant, with a capacity to reduce 200 kg of plastic into fuel, gas and carbon, is an enormous step toward waste management.
Along with the government, NGOs and organisations, the World Environment Day is also a call to citizens to do their bit to protect nature.
