KASSEL, GERMANY: K+S AG, a German chemical company said that Dr Ralf Bethke, chairman of the supervisory board since May 2008, will step down when his term of office expires at the end of the annual general meeting on 10 May 2017.
The members of the supervisory board would like to thank Dr Bethke for his excellent and always future-orientated leadership of the board, which was characterised by his extensive knowledge and international experience as long-standing chairman of the board of executive directors of the company (1991 to 2007).
The members of the board intend, after general meeting, to elect Dr Andreas Kreimeyer – since 2015 member of the supervisory board of K+S AG and former member of the board of executive directors as well as spokesman of research at BASF SE – the new chairman of the Board.
The supervisory board members have decided to propose Thomas Kolbl, chief financial officer of Sudzucker AG, to the coming meeting as a new member of the company’s supervisory board.
The other seats on the supervisory board will remain unchanged.
