The Odfjell Group said that it is introducing a chief operation officer (COO) function to ensure they have full integration between ship management and commercial operations, which is key to delivering top quality service in the chemical tanker industry.
Odfjell is one of the leading players in the global market for seaborne transportation and storage of chemicals and other speciality bulk liquids.
With the new structure, Odfjell Tankers will have common and aligned goals across all functions relating to chemical tankers.
Harald Fotland joined Odfjell in 2010 as chief of staff. In 2015, he was appointed senior VP of Odfjell Tankers, and since January 2017 he also held the position as intermediate senior vice president of Odfjell’s ship management.
