ST PAUL, US: Ecolab Inc has acquired a privately held technical services company focused on the automotive paint industry, Abednego Environmental Services.
Abednego, headquartered in Michigan, US, has approximately $40 million in annual revenues that provide chemistry, know-how and service solutions to help automotive customers achieve superior outcomes in their paint operations.
Abednego’s key offerings include total paint booth management, engineering services and post treatment operations. Abednego currently operates and manages systems in automotive plants throughout the US Abednego will become part of Ecolab’s Nalco Water business operations.
“Abednego further broadens the suite of products and services Ecolab provides to automobile manufacturers to recycle water, reduce energy usage and reduce waste. In particular, it provides a great complement to our strong base of existing offerings led by our industry-leading APEX paint detackification technology,” said Michael Johannsen, Nalco Water senior vice president responsible for the manufacturing segment of Ecolab’s water business.
